The Family Tree!

The Oliveti Group’s joinery workshops operate differently to other businesses!

And we are not just talking about the products which Oliveti manufacture – but the people who make up the skilled workforce.

Grandad Tony Cross, (66) his son and Workshop Manager Adam Cross, (43) and grandson Liam Cross, (23) all work together at the Company’s joinery manufacturing unit at Enderby.

The Oliveti workshop was originally founded in Willoughby, Leicestershire in 2003 and Adam and Tony – at the time both fully qualified and experienced joiners – started work there together. The workshop – Oliveti Cubicles – was originally set up to service the joinery requirements of the parent building company, Oliveti Construction.

As both Companies grew, so did the need for loyal staff, so it was a natural place for Liam to carry out his work experience. Since when Liam has never really looked back – with himself, his Dad and Grandad even manufacturing washrooms for their former school, Rawlins Academy!

Liam now has his own family with partner Zoe – (Finlay 4, and Evie 3.)

In September 2018 the workshops were relocated to Enderby, conveniently close to Oliveti’s office HQ at Meridian in Leicester. A workbench is kept spare for when Liam’s son Finlay – Tony’s Great grandson – starts work!

Oliveti Cubicles manufacture washrooms, hospital furniture, windows, reception desks, shopfitting products and many other bespoke items.

Delivering bespoke projects at our workshop

At Oliveti we are proud to deliver every service imaginable when it comes to construction. Going above and beyond for all of our clients is a given, which is why we have our very own workshop facility that enables our team to complete bespoke projects with a quick turnaround time, bringing everything together under one roof.

The idea of creating our own workshop facility came from not wanting to rely on third parties to create bespoke joinery. It gives us the chance to be flexible and really take all of our client’s needs into consideration, ensuring each task is completed without fault.

Our workshop supplies bespoke and purpose made joinery and has a team of long-serving craftsmen whose attention to detail and finish is one of a kind. All types of joinery are completed in our workshop from doors, windows, stair cases and furniture, to architectural designs and shop or bar fittings. Only sustainable hardwoods are used, ensuring that we are always kind to the environment, these woods include Oak, Beech, Maple, Walnut and Cherry, but glass and metal can be incorporated upon request.

Most recently our workshop facility proved to be instrumental during a project at De Montfort Hall which was requested by Leicester City Council. The project included the bars being replaced, a powered rig system and an external 3-phase electrical supply installation. The original tender to complete the job was over our client’s budget, so we saved time and cost by utilising our own workshop to design and manufacture the bars after negating the lead-in time and extra costs for external manufacturers. You can read all about this project here.

Our team are very proud of the workshop.
